or the appliance itself in water or other liquids.
22. Do not hang the power cord over a table or sink edge.
23. Do not use an extension cord. If, however, you are willing to take responsibility for
such an action, use only an extension cord in good technical condition, with proper
grounding, and suitable for supplying the amount of power the appliance needs.
24. The power cord should not hang freely or touch any hot surface.
25. Place the appliance at a safe distance from other kitchen appliances that become
hot, such as an oven, electric cooker, gas burner etc.
26. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Make sure that the
connection between the kettle and its base is not wet.
27. Do not cover the appliance when it is switched on or when it is hot.
28. Regularly check the power cord for physical damage.
29. This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
30. Operate the appliance on a flat, stable and dry surface resistant to high
temperatures.
31. The steam emitted by the kettle when water is boiling is hot and may cause
scalding.
32. Exercise caution when using the product.
33. If you intend to hand this appliance over to a third party, hand over this instruction
manual as well.
34. Do not leave the appliance unattended. Unplug it whenever it is not being used and
before cleaning it.
35. Never pull by the power cord to unplug the appliance. Instead, grasp the plug and
remove the plug from the outlet.
36. Fill the appliance with cold and fresh water only.
37. If water is poured over the external electrical components of the kettle or of the
base, dry them completely before you reconnect the appliance to the mains.
38. Always unplug the appliance after use and if it shows any signs of improper
functioning.
39. Do not use the appliance if the power cord shows any signs of damage or if the
appliance has been dropped on the floor.
40. Keep the kettle’s lid closed when boiling water.
41. The appliance is not fit for operation with an external
timer or remote control system.
42. Retain the instruction manual and the packaging, if
possible.
