Then use its flat end to tamp down the ground coffee. On the filter, there is a
MAX marking, showing the maximum ground coffee level.
3. Place the portafilter in the appliance by moving it from the position marked
“ INSERT ” to the position marked “ LOCK “ by turning it clockwise.
4. Place a coffee cup under the basket, on the dripping tray.
5. Make sure the steam control knob is in the minimum position, and the steam
frothing / coffee making mode button remains in the position.
6. When the ready-to-use indicator starts glowing green, the appliance is ready
to be used.
7. Push the coffee brewing button into the position.
8. After a moment, coffee will start flowing down into the cup. Manually stop
the water pumping process when you have obtained the desired amount of
coffee or when the infusion coming out of the appliance becomes excessively
diluted. To stop the appliance, push the coffee brewing button so that it
returns to the
STOP
position.
9. After brewing is completed, press the ON/ OFF button to turn the appliance
off. Make sure the indicators have gone off.
10. If you want to make more than one cup of coffee, do not turn the appliance off
after brewing. Remove the portafilter by turning it left, towards the “ INSERT ”
position. Before pouring the coffee grounds out of the filter, prevent them
from falling out of the portafilter by holding it by the filter lock on the upper
part of the portafilter handle. Pour the coffee grounds out and rinse the steel
filter and the portafilter with warm water. The filter can now be filled again. To
start brewing coffee, repeat the steps described above.
ATTENTION! Do not leave the appliance unattended when making coffee!
7.5 Frothing milk
1. Make sure that the portafilter with the basket are installed in the appliance in
the “LOCK” position
2. Make sure that the steam milk frother knob is in the minimum position.
3. Press the steam frothing / coffee making mode button to the position.
Wait until the ready-for-use indicator starts glowing green.
4. Fill a container (jug, glass, mug) with milk. The recommended quantity of
milk to be frothed for a single portion of coffee is 100 ml. Cold whole milk
from a refrigerator and not heated froths best.
