4. Lift the kettle from the power base and pour the water where required.

If you accidentally turn on the kettle without water, the dry boiling block will
automatically turn off the power. Should this occur allow the kettle to cool
before filling with cold water.
9. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning.
Do not submerge the kettle, the power cord or the power base in water, and
avoid contact with humidity.
Wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth or cleaning agent. Do not
use toxic cleaning agents.
WARNING:
Do not use chemical agents and cleaning agents used to clean
steel, wood and abrasive agents to clean the outside of the kettle, to prevent
loss of shine.
When the kettle is not used or while in storage, the power cord should be
clipped in place under the base.
Lime scale build-up should be regularly removed from the kettle, as the
minerals found in tap water will create residue on the kettle bottom, lowering
