This symbol means that the product must not be disposed
of with unsorted household waste. Portuguese law prohibits
mixing waste electrical and electronic equipment with other
household waste.
It is possible to avoid potential negative consequences for the
environment and human health, which can arise from the im-
proper handling of waste electrical and electronic equipment,
if the product is disposed of properly.
The “CE” symbol is the guarantee of compliance with
harmonized European standards, on a voluntary basis,
reflecting the essential requirements in the technical
specifications and aims to ensure that the appliance complies
with the requirements that provide a high level of health and
safety protection people, pets and goods, while ensuring the
functioning of the internal market.
This product meets the requirements of Directive 2011/65/
EU, referred to as RoHS directive. The purpose of the
Directive is the approximation of the laws of the member
states concerning the restriction of use of hazardous
substances in electrical and electronic equipment, and the
contribution towards the protection of human health and
the environmentally sound recovery and disposal of waste
electrical and electronic equipment.
RoHS Directive applies from 3 January 2013. New electrical
and electronic equipment put on the market shall not
contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium,
polybrominated biphenyls or polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
CLASS II indicates anti-shock protection of product not only
depends on basic insulation but also includes additional
precaution. For example double or reinforce insulation
but without grounding or installation condition for relying
precaution.
