4. Pull the connecting cable through the top rod (

). Then screw this onto the middle
rod (

5. Connect the connector of the radiant heater (

). To do this, you must open up the holder on the connector (press
both locking lugs) and then close it up again after the connector and socket have
been plugged together.
6. Push the connecting cable back into the top rod and use two M 8 x 10 mm screws (

to fi rmly screw the bracket of the radiant heater on the top rod (

).
7. Carefully tilt the device and lay the connecting cable on the bottom of the base in the
cable guide (
Picture G
). Fix the connecting cable with the clip and two M 3.5 x 16 mm
screws (

8. Set up the device in a place that has lots of clearance on all sides (

).
9. To make the device more stable, you can fi x the base on the ground (
Picture I
).
To do this, use the three holding brackets (

) and the metal anchors M 6 x 50 mm with
washers and nuts (

Inserting Batteries in the Remote Control
Before the device is fi rst used, insert two 1.5 V batteries, AAA in the remote control.
These are not supplied with the device.
1. The battery compartment cover is located on the back of the remote control (

). Take
it off.
2. Check whether the contacts in the battery compartment and on the batteries are
clean. If they are not, clean them.
3. Insert two batteries into the battery compartment. Pay attention to the polarity (+ / –).
4. Insert the battery compartment cover back into the remote control.
Replace the batteries when the power of the remote control starts to wane.

Only switch on the device once it has been properly assembled.
■
Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches
the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible
after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.

Always switch off the device using the main switch

If the device has any damage / faults, switch it off immediately and pull the mains
plug out of the plug socket.

Never touch the radiant heater when it is switched on. It needs to be switched
off and cooled down (approx. 15 minutes after switching off) when the tilt angle
is adjusted. There is a danger of burns.
■
Switch off the device before going to sleep. It must not be switched on without
supervision so that you can intervene immediately if there are any faults.
■
For safety reasons, the radiant heater cannot be switched on if it is directed
upwards.
■
The device has a safety shutoff which switches off the device if it topples over.
