1. Explanation of Numerical Index
The purpose of this index is to assist the user in finding the illustration and description of a part when the
part number is known. Part numbers are arranged in numeric-alpha sequence. Thus, any number
beginning with the letter “A” would be located toward the end of the index list. On the other hand, a part
number starting with a “1” would be listed near the beginning of the list. The figure number and item
number location of the part is directly opposite the part. If the part is used more than one place, each
location beginning with the first is listed.
