Unusual Service Conditions
This information is a general guideline and cannot cover all possible conditions of equipment use. The
specific local environments may be dependent upon conditions beyond the manufacturer’s control. The
manufacturer should be consulted if any unusual conditions of use exist which may affect the physical
condition or operation of the equipment.
Among such conditions are:
1. Exposure to:
•
Combustible, explosive, abrasive or conducting dusts.
•
Environments where the accumulation of lint or excessive dirt will interfere with normal ventila-
tion.
•
Chemical fumes, flammable or explosive gases.
•
Nuclear radiation.
•
Steam, salt-laden air, or oil vapor.
•
Damp or very dry locations, radiant heat, vermin infestation, or atmospheres conducive to
fungus growth.
•
Abnormal shock, vibration or mechanical loading from external sources during equipment opera-
tion. Low and/or high ambient temperatures.
2. Operation at:
•
Voltages above or below rated voltage.
•
Frequency other than rated frequency.
•
Unbalanced voltages.
•
Operation at loads greater than rated.
3. Operation where low acoustical noise levels are required.
4. Operation with:
•
Parts or elements unauthorized by the manufacturer.
•
Unauthorized modifications.
5. Operation in poorly ventilated areas.
