4. USE
4.1. FIRST USE
The battery delivered with the
Vertic
2 is fully charged so that you can start using the hoist immediately.
However check the hoist has been assembled properly as explained in paragraph 3, and try it without a
patient to get familiar with its use and functions.
4.2. VERTIC 2 USE
4.2.1 Sling installation and operating :
Reminder : Sling is adjustable. User is responsible for adjusting it in order to not hurt the patient.

delivered with its sling. See the user instruction bellow.
4.2.2 Transferring the patient:
While the patient is seated on a chair, armchair or on the edge of electrical bed
:
1/ Bring the Vertic
closer and place the patient’s feet on the foot rest.
(depending on the situation and layout of the space available, narrow or widen the
side feet to get close to the patient)
2/ Adjust the leg-
rest up or down to block the patient’s shins against it
(pull the
locking screws on each side of the pole)
3/ Lock brakes
4/ Set up the sling
5/ Press the up button on the handset (
)
to lift up the main pole
(make sure the sling is
not stuck and does not injure the patient while doing this).
6/ Unlock brakes to transfer the patient.
7/ Press the down button

) to bring the patient down.

1/ Undo the abdominal belt.
2/ Put the sling behind the patient’s back and slide the A and B parts to be hooked, under
his/her arms.
3/ fasten the belt around the patient’s belly.
4/ Attach snap hook A to one of the C rings
5/ Attach snap hook B to one of the D rings
