BROOM STORAGE
The following storage procedure will assist you to keep your Broom in top condition.
NOTICE
DO NOT STORE BROOM WITH WEIGHT ON THE BRUSH.
Weight will deform the bristles,
destroying the sweeping effectiveness. To avoid this problem, place the Broom on blocks or optional
stands.
The polypropylene bristles will deteriorate in sun, high heat or flame. Do not store in direct sunlight for
any extended period of time.
STORAGE:
1.
Clean Broom thoroughly; removing all mud, dirt and grease.
2.
Inspect for visible signs of wear, breakage or damage. Order any parts required and make necessary repairs, to avoid delays
when starting next season.
3.
Tighten all loose nuts, cap screws and hydraulic connections.
4.
Lubricate grease fittings.
5.
Connect hydraulic couplers together, or install covers, to protect hydraulic system from contaminates.
6.
Retouch all unpainted and exposed areas with paint to prevent rust.
7.
Replace decals, if damaged or are illegible.
8.
Store Broom in a dry, protected place, with a cover, if possible. Leaving attachment outside will materially shorten its life.
REMOVING FROM STORAGE:
1.
Remove all protective coverings.
2.
Check hydraulic hoses for deterioration and replace if necessary.
