Depending on the system environment, the user can select the required output feedback signal by
setting the DIP switch as above table.
Notes : DIP switch is commonly set with 4~20mA dc before shipping.
Caution : Please refer to Zero switch (No. 3) of the clause “6.1 Select input signal switch“.
4.9.5.
Deadband setting
①
Deadband means maximum allowable tolerance of the actuator stop position according to
command signal.
②
It is also minimum variation value of command signal to operate the actuator.
③
Adjustable setting range : (16 steps available)
Step 0~4 : increase 0.1% increment per step
(0.3 ~ 0.7 % for PCU-EB-V1.5D ac)
(0.4 ~ 0.8 % for PCU-DC-V2.1C dc)
Step 5~9 : increase 0.2% increment per step (1.0% ~ 1.8%)
Step A~F : increase 0.5% increment per step (5.0% ~ 7.5%)
Initial setting is “4”
④
If the setting value is too low, the actuator may not be found the target point and it may be
repeatedly operated in forward or reverse direction. This is called “Hunting” and the user must
appropriately adjust the deadband to avoid from the hunting.
⑤
Continuous hunting causes a failure of the actuator parts such as motor, PCU board,
potentiometer and etc.
4.9.6.
Deadtime setting
①
This is necessary to apply the command signal.
②
It is the minimum time for maintaining the state of the input signal satisfying the deadband.
③
Actuator only accepts input signal satisfying the setting value of the deadtime as normal and
operates. It is for preventing from abnormal operation of the actuator by external disturbance
such as noise.
④
Adjustable setting range : 0.2~7.5 sec (16 steps available)
Step 0
: 0.2 sec (minimum value)
Step 1~4 : increase 0.25 sec increment per step (0.25~1 sec)
Step 5~F : increase 0.50 sec increment per step (2.5~7.5 sec)
Initial setting is “4”
