CONTROL FEATURES

MAINS:

Power On/Off. Please switch your mixing console on
before powering up the active cabinets.

AC RECEPTACLE:

Socket for the Euro-mains cord (included).

FUSE:

Fuse holder. Please make certain that replacement fuses
have the same values as the original.

HI CUT (CA 115 only):

This feature switches the integrated 250 Hz low-pass filter
off and on.

Rule of thumb:
HI CUT

ON

for PA applications,

HI CUT

OFF

for bass or other instrument amplification

applications.

EXTERNAL SPEAKER:

Jack for additional passive speaker cabinets (without
internal power amps). This output is not affected by the
HI CUT switch. Ensure the extension speaker is rated at 8
ohms or greater.

LINE IN:

This input jack connects to a mixing console’s output
signal or the LINE OUT signal from an instrument
amplifier or powered mixer.

THROUGH:

This output jack routes the incoming line signal to
additional active speakers or power amps, if needed.

INPUT GAIN:

Controls the input sensitivity for the

incoming line signal. It usually suffices to set this gain
once and leave it; thereafter volume is ordinarily
controlled at the mixing console. Set the INPUT GAIN so
that there is no distortion apparent at dynamic peaks. You
can also use the INPUT GAIN feature to balance volume
levels between individual stage monitors (CA 152) or
control the amount of bass in the overall PA sound (CA
115).
