Place igniter assembly [6] onto burner mount plate [5]. Secure with two 8-32 X 1/2
screws [4] and 8/32 nuts [13] provided.
6.4. Support Ring Assembly
1.
For support ring assembly, see Figure 3, then follow these steps.
2.
Insert one stanchion suspension bracket [9] through each of the openings in the
outside of the support ring [8]. The stanchion suspension bracket will slide through
the opening until the swaged portion located on the middle section of the bracket is
reached.
3.
Rotate the bracket [9] until the swaged portion mates with the opening, insert the
bracket through the opening so that the opening is between the swage, then rotate the
bracket so that it is positioned with mounting pedestals pointing inwards toward the
center of the support ring [8], as in Figure 4.
6.5. Burner Unit Assembly
1.
For burner unit assembly, see Figure 4, then follow these steps.
2.
Attach the burner assembly [11] to the stanchion suspension brackets [9] with the six
8-32 X 1/2” screws [12] and 8-32 nuts [13] provided.
3.
Place ceramic element [14] on top of the support ring.
6.6. Final Brooder Assembly
1.
For final brooder assembly, see Figure 5, then follow these steps.
2.
Attach control enclosure brackets [18] to control enclosure [16] with four 8-32 X
1/2” screws [12] and 8-32 nuts[13] provided.
3.
Attach assembled control enclosure to canopy [15] with four 8-32 X 1/2” screws [12]
and 8-32 nuts [13] provided.
4.
Attach burner unit to canopy using three cotter pins [20].
6.7. Gas Tubing Assembly
1.
Refer to Figure 5 for gas tube assembly.
2.
Thread orifice [21] into lower portion of the burner. The orifice bracket should be
kept from becoming misaligned while tightening the orifice.
3.
Slide brass nut [23] and ferrule [22]over the gas tubing [24], insert the tubing into the
orifice, and tighten the brass nut.
4.
Remove brass nut and ferrule from the gas valve fitting, slide the bras nut and ferrule
over the gas tubing, insert the tubing into the brass fitting, and tighten the brass nut.
6.8. Wiring Assembly
1.
Route wires along the gas tubing.
2.
Connect brown wire and orange wire to the white wires coming from the igniter [1].
The brown wire and orange wire are interchangeable with the igniter wires.

Refer to
Figure 2
for flame sense probe installation. Insert flame sense probe [7]
into the larger of the two mounting openings.
4.
Attach with 8-32 X 1/2” screw [12] and 8-32 nut [13].
5.
Start with the wires nearest the orifice [21] and attach wires to gas tubing [24] by
means of 10 equally spaced wire ties. Pull any loose wire into the controls enclosure
[16].
