Gas Spring Malfunction
1. Press the rear leg release, and move the CarePorter™ Cart forward. The
gas spring pushes the rear legs back into the locked position.

3. Inspect the gas spring for proper operation. The gas spring is functioning
properly.

Ensure the gas spring is fully extended. Check the gas spring rod
for scratches, nicks, or dents. If necessary, replace the damaged
gas spring (refer to procedure 4.12). If this solves the problem,
go to “Final Actions” on page 2-5. Otherwise, go to step 4.
4. Another part of the CarePorter™ Cart interferes with the gas spring
assembly.
