4.12 Gas Spring
Tools required:
Small screwdriver
Removal
1. Place the On/Standby switch to the Standby position.
SHOCK HAZARD:
To minimize the risk of electrical shock or damage to equipment,
disconnect all electrical power to the CarePorter™ Cart before working
on it. Failure to do so could result in personal injury or equipment
damage.
2. Unplug the unit from its power source.
3. Disconnect the battery pack (refer to procedure 4.1).
4. Set the brake casters to the brake position
5. Using the small screwdriver, insert the flat section of the blade underneath
the clip (A) on each end of the gas spring assembly (B), and pry downward
to release the gas spring assembly (B) from the ball stud (C) (see figure 4-
14 on page 4-38).
