Chapter 8 First Time to Configure
After the gateway is powered on, the Ethernet interfaces of the gateway ASDU-LS can be access to
IP address automatically. Press the reset button and the Ethernet interfaces will be enabled. The IP
addesses will be changed to default IP addresses 192.168.137.1 and 192.168.138.1 automatically.
Use a network cable to connect “ETH1” (Ethernet interface 1) of the gateway with computer. On
computer, add an IP address192.168.137.XX (XX ranges from 2 to 255) and then connect the
gateway immediately.
Open the gateway configuration software. On interface “Device Management”, choose “Local
Communication Parameter Configuration”. In the pop-up dialog, “Create” IP address : 192.168.137.1.
Click “Save” and “Close”.
Then click “Choose Debugging Method” and choose “local debugging”. In the pop-up dialog, “Select”
the IP address192.168.137.1. Then click “connection”. If the “Gateway Connection State” on the
software turns green, it means the connection is successful.
Remark: all the number in the gateway configuration software is decimal number.
