18. Install the PCI blank retainer.

19. If the fan cage was removed, do the following:

a. Make sure that all the system cables that are routed through the front cable channel are properly secured in the

metal cable tabs. This is done to prevent system damage due to cables being inadvertently caught under the fan
cage.

b. Install the fan cage.

20. Install the air baffle.

21. Install the access panel.

22. Do one of the following:

• Server in tower mode: 

Position the tower server for operation.

• Server in rack mode: 

Slide the server into the rack.

23. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.

24. Connect each power cord to the server.

25. Connect each power cord to the power source.

26. Power up the server.

27. Install the front bezel.

28. Configure the storage controller.

The installation is complete.

M.2 SATA SSD enablement option

The server supports the installation of one M.2 SATA SSD enablement board in the PCIe3 expansion slots 1–4. This
enablement board supports two M.2 SATA SSDs.

Use the embedded HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 Controller to manage the M.2 SATA SSDs. The S100i SR Gen10 SW
RAID support requires that the server boot mode be set to UEFI.

Kit contents
