Power supply replacement
Preparing for power supply replacement
You can replace a power supply while the system is running and stowed in the rack. If the system is running with two
failed power supplies, replace one of them and then replace the other. Do not try to replace both simultaneously.
You do not need to remove any cables or slide the system forward or backward in the rack to replace a power supply
assembly. Simply access the faulty power supply from the back of the system.
Replacing the power supply
Procedure
1. Locate the power supply that you want to replace on the rear of the system.
The power supplies are numbered PS0 through PS3 from left to right.

2. Disconnect the power cord.
3. Remove the power supply.
TIP: Be sure to note the orientation of the power supplies. It is possible to install a power supply upside down. If
a power supply is installed upside down, the power supply will not plug into the power board.
4. Orient the new power supply with the latch on the left.
5. Push the power supply into the chassis until it locks in place.
6. Attach the power cord.
After power supply replacement
Procedure
1. Check the status LEDs on the power supply.
2. Check the status of the system hardware.

Review the status and values for the voltage and
