Lighting Instructions
Sealed Top Burners (HMB & HSB Series)
1)
Push and turn the knob to the ignition position. Igniter will spark until a flame is established. Once the
burner has been lit, turn the knob to the desired flame setting.
2)
For daily shutoff, turn the knob to the “OFF” position.
NOTE:
If spark does not occur, check the electrical supply to the appliance.
A 5 minute complete shutoff period is required before the appliance is re-lighted
Sealed Top Burners (HSP Series)
1)
Turn main gas supply on Turn burner valve knob(s) to the “ON” position for 5 seconds to purge the
air in the gas lines, if there is no gas present wait 5 minutes and repeat the operation.
2)
When gas is present, turn knob(s) to the “OFF” position. Using a log lighter, light the pilot(s).
3)
Wait 3 minutes; turn all the burners “ON” and then “OFF”, one at a time, to make sure all of the lines
have been purged of air.
A 5 minute complete shutoff period is required before the appliance is re-lighted
