1. INTRODUCTION 

IMPORTANT! All local regulations, including 
those that make reference to national or 
European standards, have to be met when you 
install the appliance.

 

The manner of installing the HGB-70 stove will 
have a decisive influence on its safety and proper 
operation.  
It is very important to install it properly. 
For the installation of your stove and chimney to 
be done properly, it is advisable to allow it to be 
done by a professional.

 

 

2.- PRESENTATION 

The main characteristics of the HGB-70 flush 
mounted stove are:

Made out of cast iron

Primary air control valve located by the ash 
pan.

Control valve lever.

Removable dual baffle. (Easy accessibility for 
cleaning the chimney). 

x

 

Removable stove grill and ash pan. 

x

 

There is an accessory to connect an air intake 
from the outside. 

 
 

 

 
 

 

3. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 

Once installed in its final destination, check the 
seal of all of the joints, to prevent the entry of air 
from outside that is detrimental to the draught. 
Before covering the stove with brick or any other 
type of fire-resistant material, it is important to 
check that it is operating properly. 

Lighting the stove for the first time. 

The first time that the stove is lit should be carried 
out at a low heat for three or four hours to 
stabilise the various parts and thus avoid any 
possible breakage. 
The first time that the stove is lit it is advisable to 
have the windows open to evacuate any 
fumes/smoke and smells that may be produced by 
the combustion of solvents from the protective 
paint or any other material.

Air for combustion is provided by means of the 
primary air valve. (Fig. 2 and 3)
