Projection
1)
Two slidable covers are located on the top of the unit. Underneath the rear cover side of
the unit there are two sliding covers. Under the back cover (seen from the lamp housing)
there is a possibility of the insertion of the diaphragm, gobo holder etc.
2)
There can only be inserted one holder. If you want to use foils or dust filters at the same
time, it is possible to insert them into the front filter drawer.
3)
Spots with a capacity of 8000 Ws can only be supplied with a firmly inserted, uncoated
flash tube. The gold tone coating on a tube would only stand a few flashes due to the
extreme heating. In order to adjust the unit concerning the color temperature, we will
supply a filter the corresponding yellow gel.
4)
The four variable masks enable the projection of geometric figures, e.g. rectangles,
triangles, light lines etc. Additionally, the adjusted figure can be turned. For doing this the
tightening screw which is next to the masks has to be loosened.
5)
The masks can be removed (by tilting) for cleaning purpose.
6)
Projection of slides is only possible with certain reservations and special tricks. For
achieving correct focusing, the modeling light should only be used at reduced capacity for
a short time. Flashing should only be done in longer intervals. Otherwise the slide would
get damaged after some flashes - therefore you should only use duplicate slides.
7)
On the right side of the housing there is a shift lock for both types of lenses. The front lens
is for the adjustment of the angle of illumination.
Front Positions (towards the filter slot) = narrowest focusing.
The further focusing is done in lamp direction, the wider is the angle of the projection.
8)
When combining e.g. gobos and glasses for projection purpose and when additionally
using variable masks, the photographer should consider that both will never be shown
sharply defined (2 levels of sharpness).
9)
The unit is delivered with a white mirror as standard. It can be exchanged with a silver
mirror (accessory).
10)
The white mirror enables best possible production results (e.g. gobos), sharpness and
nearly no color fringe. The silver mirror offers 1 f-stop higher light intensity.
