Wide-Angle Projection Spot 3000 und 6000
Dear customer,
You have purchased a high quality spot with excellent technical features. Please read and
adhere to the instructions so that you will have the pleasure of using this unit for many years.
Due to safety reasons, the modeling lamp and the flash tube are separately packaged and
stored inside the spot.
The entire lamp support can be pulled out. To carry this out, the small round button on the
upper right hand side of the fan has to be slid towards the cable outlet. The lamp support
element then opens on one side. The package with the flash tube and the modeling lamp can
be removed. The flash tube and modeling lamp then have to be inserted into the lamp
support. Please note: Both lamp and flash tube
must never be touched with bare fingers.
For safety, the following should be adhered to:
1)
The mains lamp plug has to be disconnected from the generator in order to carry out any
repair (exchanging the flash tube, modeling lamp, mirror, etc.)
2)
The Spot should only be connected to a suitable generator. Please read the information
given on the label on the plug.
When plugging and unplugging the plug, the generator has to be switched off completely.
It goes without saying that units from different manufacturers must never be used together -
even if they have identical lamp connections. Only units which have been adapted and
designed for this purpose by the manufacturer can be used.
3)
The flash tube must be inserted completely to the base. Plug the flash tube firmly and
completely into the socket, so that perfect contact can be guaranteed.
A flash tube can only be replaced with a corresponding original flash tube.
When removing the flash tube, touch the base, not the glass (danger of breakage!).
Guarantee is not given on glass breakage. Please note pos. no. 2.
This spot allows for complete removal of the lamp support. On the right side (over the
safety fuse) on the swiveling axis a small lever can be found. When the lever is slid to the
left, the lamp support is completely released. The protective earth wiring on the lamp
support can now be carefully pulled off. Their assembly is done in reverse order (don’t
forget the protective earth wire!). The advantage of this construction is that it is no longer
necessary to send the entire spot to customer service for repair.
4)
The correct fuse for the modeling lamp has to be used. A 3.15 A fast-acting fuse is
originally supplied for the 650 W lamp - a 1 .6 A fast-acting fuse has to be used for a 300
W modeling lamp.
5)
When plugging the spot in, slightly slant forward and firmly press into the locked position at
the cable outlet. Burnt, dirty or damaged contacts will inevitably lead to serious damages.
Such plug connections have to be exchanged immediately. Plug connections have to be
checked regularly.
The spot must never be exposed to dripping or splash water.
