pans can cause the hob to deform.

A gap of at least 5 cm must be left around the sides of
the appliance, since the sides of the appliance may
become hot during use.
•
Do ensure this appliance is positioned away from the
edge of work surfaces and out of the reach of children
and people insensitive to heat.
•
This appliance must not be positioned beneath
cupboards
.
Connection to the mains supply
First check that the voltage marked on the product corresponds with your supply voltage. The
socket must have for double cooker 16 Amp. and for single-cooker 10 Amp.
Usage
•
Having suitable positioned the appliance (refer to section Location) ensure the control is in the
OFF position (“0”facing upwards) – plug in and if necessary knob on the power supply.
•
When using the hotplates for the first time, the invisible protective coating must be
removed. To do this, set the controls to the maximum setting (MAX) and leave switched
on for approximately 5 minutes without pot on the cooker. It is important to ensure the
room is well ventilated during this period.
•
Knob off the hotplate(s) and allow cooling down completely.
•
The hotplate(s) are now ready for use.
•
A thermostat commands your hob. When the button is turned on by lighting a signal lamp. It
shows that the hob has energy. When the hob reaches the required temperature, thermostat
shuts down the energy and the lamp is no more illuminated. When the thermostat operates
again, the lamp is again lightened.
•
Always use flat-bottomed saucepans which make good contact with the hotplate(s). The
saucepan bases should be of a similar size to the hotplate(s).
•
The hotplate(s) have a range of temperature-use the lower heat settings for simmering and
gentle heating and the high setting for boiling.
•
Due to the hotplate(s) construction, a certain amount of residual heat will remain after
switching off. This may be used to keep some foods warm for a short period.

Cleaning
•
First switch off the appliance, connect the mains plug from the socket, let the appliance cool off.
•
For safety reasons do not sink your hob into water and do not contact with much water! Keep it dry!
Danger to life!
•
All the surfaces may be cleaned simply by wiping over with a soft, damp cloth. For hard stains, we
recommend using a non-scratch cream cleanser. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or caustic
cleaning agents. The steel surround the hotplate may be cleaned using a metal cleaning agent.
•
Food substances must be removed from the hotplate whilst it is still warm.
•
The hotplate should have a cleaner / protector applied every month.
•
Always unplug the appliance when not in use!
