MT 77 Device Description
Intended Use
2. Take the MT 77 out of the packaging.
CAUTION
Danger of short circuit due to loose parts in or at the MT 77
Danger of destruction of the MT 77 and/or the automotive electronics
Never put the MT 77 into operation if you suspect that there are loose parts in or at the
module. Please contact the Hella Gutmann repair service or a Hella Gutmann trading partner
immediately in this case.
3. Check the MT 77 for mechanical damage and shake it slightly to ensure that there are no loose parts inside.
3.2 Intended Use
The MT 77 is a measurement module with a 2-channel oscilloscope. Channel 1 (ports CH1 and ST3) is intended for
measuring resistance and current. Channel 2 (port CH2) is intended for measuring voltage only.
Voltage at the measuring ports CH1 and CH2 of the MT 77 must not exceed 200 V/DC and 200 V peak. If it should be
nevertheless higher than 200 V/DC und 200 V peak, overvoltage can occur which leads to destruction of the MT 77 and
or the device. The voltage values to be measured must be shielded extra or even twice from dangerous line voltage.
There is a risk of electric shock.
The MT 77 can be operated only in connection with the mega macs 77 of Hella Gutmann. Diagnostic devices from
other manufacturers will not be supported. The MT 77 is
not suitable for the following repair work/voltage
measurements:
• Electric appliances and devices
• Home electrics
• Power supply systems/line voltage
If the MT 77 is used in a way not authorized by Hella Gutmann, the protection of the MT 77 and the mega macs 77 may
be influenced.
