Precondition for the Use of the CSC-Kit Radar I
3 Working with the CSC-Kit Radar I
The following steps are necessary to work with the CSC-Kit Radar I:
1. Place the CSC Panel in front of the vehicle (see operating instructions
of CSC-Tool).
2. Attach the angular adjustment plate to the cross member.
3. Fix the magnetic laser onto the angular adjustment plate where
necessary.
4. Fix the CSC-Kit Radar II to the radar sensor where necessary.
The steps are described below.
3.1
Precondition for the Use of the CSC-Kit Radar I
Regard the following in order to use the CSC-Kit Radar I:
• Vehicle system is working properly
• No trouble codes stored in the ECU
• Possible vehicle-specific preparations done
• Rear axle track adjusted properly
• Horizontal position of the vehicle on even surface ensured
• Vehicle front removed where necessary
• CSC-Tool with CSC-Kit Radar I correctly placed in front of the vehicle
• Level gauge bubble of angular adjustment plate centered
3.2
Calibrating the Radar Sensor without Magnetic Laser
Depending on manufacturer, model and year of manufacture, the radar
sensor can be calibrated without the magnetic laser. The tool indicates a
corresponding note.
Proceed as follows to calibrate the radar sensor without the magnetic
laser:
1. Connect the diagnostic tool to the vehicle (see user manual).
2. Select
>Diagnostics<
in the main menu.
3. Select the system to be calibrated under
>Basic settings<
