8.4 Relationship between speed and voltage at the 0-10 V cont-
rol input
When controllers are connected, the speed of the DV EC... Eco is
controlled by the varying of the voltage at the 0-10 V control input.
The speed of the fan can be derived from one of the following graphs
by measuring the voltage between terminal GND and 0-10 V of the
control input.
• Leakage current up to +/-10 mA
When using FI fault-current circuit breakers, it must be taken into
account that there can be a leakage current up to 10 mA per unit.
m
Protective conductor current >3.5 mA
According to DIN EN 50178, the PE must have two wires
or one wire > = 10mm² in case of a protective conductor
current >3.5 mA.
• Leakage current < 3.5mA
• The input impedance of the setpoint input is 94 kOhm
• Relay signal contact:
Only available for 400 types. 250V~ 5A cos 1
Closed during operation without fault.

9.1 Inspection and maintenance
The fan should be inspected once every two years. This depends on
the degree of pollution in the air. More frequent inspection is required
in case of extreme pollution.
Examples could include operation in industrial kitchens or industrial
processes.
• Ensure that the fan or the not (yet) anchored parts of the fan and
tools cannot fall/blow away or cause damage or injury in any
other way.
• When the fan is completely or partly dismantled, ensure that
nobody can touch rotating or live parts.
• Never leave a (partly) dismantled fan, which is connected to the
mains, unattended.
• Ensure that live parts do not come into contact with moisture.
Proceed as follows for the inspection or maintenance:
1. Deactivate fan using the operating switch (4).
2. Remove the fan cover (2).
3. Loosen the four screws (9).
4. Firstly, lift the inside (5) (motor-impeller, frame) straight up and
then replace in the housing the other way around.
+
The cables and air hoses must not become damaged
or kinked in the process!
5. If necessary, carefully clean the impeller (7) with a soft brush.
+
The impeller must not become damaged or deformed.
6. If necessary, clean the housing (1) with a soft brush.
7. Re-install the inside (5).
8. Check whether the impeller (7) is running freely.
9. Check whether the cables are not lying on the sharp edges of the
frame.
10. Check that the cables do not come into contact with the impeller
(7).
11. Clean air cap (3) in the fan cover.
12. Mount fan cover (2).
13. Activate operating switch (4) and check whether the fan is run-
ning without any problems.
14. Check that the fan responds to the setpoint specification 0-10 V.
9. Inspection/maintenance/faults
