1. Select a location on a flat wall with a properly attached electrical
junction box.
2. Unscrew the lens. Set aside the lens and fluorescent lamp.
3. Remove the decorative nut. Remove the mounting plate.
4. Thread the junction box wires through hole (
A
) in the mounting
plate.
5. Make sure the arrow on the mounting plate is pointed up. See
which pair of holes in the mounting plate will line up for your
junction box. Secure the mounting plate to the junction box. The
two #8-32 screws provided should work with round or octagon
junction boxes. If you are using a small rectangular box, you
will need to purchase two #6-32 screws at least 1/2" long.
6. Secure the service ground wire under the head of the green
ground screw.
7. Connect the fixture wires to the service wires (
black
to
black
and
white
to
white
). Secure with wire nuts provided.
8. Make sure the wire nuts and wires are inside the fixture wiring
compartment. Secure the fixture body to the mounting plate
with decorative nut (
B
).
9. Plug in the 13 Watt fluorescent lamp provided.
10. Reinstall the Lens.
11. Caulk fixture mounting surface with silicone weather sealant.
To test operation during daylight, cover the photocontrol window
with black tape. Turn on the power. The photocontrol has a time
delay (up to 2 minutes) before it will respond to light changes. The
light will take up to five minutes to reach full brightness. Uncover
the photocontrol and your unit will operate automatically—on at
dusk, off at dawn.
