EDUCATIONAL ANALOG COMPUTER

MODEL EC-1

PREFACE

The purpose of this manual is threefold: first, to present, in elem entary form , the fundamental

mathematical theory of analog com puters; second, to provide instructions for operation of the

Heath Educational Analog Computer; and third, to show som e illustrative examples of problem s

which can be solved on the Computer.

This manual is not intended to be exhaustive but rather to be a guide in the operation of the

com puter.  For  this  reason  frequent  referen ces  are  made  to  the  available  literature.  Several
excellent  books as  well as  many a rticles  are available.  Some  of these are listed  in the  referen ces
at  the  end  of the  manual.  These  should  be  available  to and  usedby  anyone with  a seriou s  interest
in  analog  com puters.
