For round cap
termination:
1. Secure the 8-5/8
inch (219 mm) pipe,
using the exterior
pipelock hole on the
round flange of the
wall firestop.
For trapezoidal
termination:
1. Screw the cap to the
exterior wall through
the flanges in the
cap.
2. Seal the joint be-
tween the pipe and
the exterior firestop.

THE BOTTOM OF THE VENT
TERMINATION CAP MUST BE A
MINIMUM OF 12 INCHES (305 MM)
ABOVE GROUND LEVEL (GRADE).
THE TOP OF THE CAP MUST BE A
MINIMUM OF 18 INCHES (457 MM)
BELOW COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL,
SUCH AS A DECK, AND THE SIDE OF
THE CAP MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 6
INCHES (152 MM) AWAY FROM A
PARALLEL OUTSIDE WALL. VENTING
TERMINALS SHALL NOT BE
RECESSED INTO A WALL OR SIDING.
