Select the change-over parts suitable for your weld-
ing element.
Unscrew the retaining nut
(pos. 7)
from the slot
piston
(pos. 11)
with the WAF 17 socket wrench.
Use air connection B to apply a short pulse of air
to the automatic welding head to move the piston
rod
(pos. 17)
to the front end position. (Any equip-
ment in the automatic welding head is pressed out.)
Insert the pin
(pos. 15)
into the cross hole of the
piston rod and use pliers to carefully tighten the
plunger
(pos. 10)
.
Screw the pin stop
(pos. 9)
with the pin
(pos. 15)
onto the guide sleeve
(pos. 8)
.
Push the unit
(pos. 8/9)
into the slot piston. The cor-
rect position is ensured by the guide pin in the slot
piston and the groove in the guide sleeve.
Note that, when correctly assembled, the unit
(pos. 8/9)
is inserted com-
pletely into the slot piston
(pos. 11)
.
Place the chuck
(pos. 6)
in the slot piston
(pos. 11)
and secure it with the retain-
ing nut
(pos. 7)
