12 Welding
12.3 Setting the Welding Time
First determine the necessary welding time.

Only now set the necessary welding time with the arrow buttons.
12.4 Switching on the Energy Control
You have to store a reference welding if you work with energy control. Subsequent
weldings are automatically adjusted to the correct energy input via the welding time.
Determine the correct parameter setting by trial welds (see
Point 12.2 „Determining
the Welding Time“
).
Press simultaneously the two arrow keys at the power unit ( ) for about one second.
The display shows 1 ... 0.
Enable the energy control with the arrow key ( longer).
The display ... 0 flashes. The power unit is waiting for a reference welding.
After the reference weld, the display is automatically switched to the welding time.
The display of welding time flashes if you work with the energy mode.
After welding, the currently welded time is shown in the display. If you place the
welding gun to the workpiece or trigger a lift process, the reference welding time is
displayed.
If you press one of the two arrow keys ( longer – shorter) the energy control
is switched off.
If you want to quit the enabled energy control without reference wel-
ding, trigger a lift process.
