Error 1-wire commu-
nication 12 The 1-wire TEDS cannot be read. Check the wiring. If
possible, check whether the TEDS module can be
read on another device, or is defective.
Error ClipX bus 13 The ClipX bus is not working correctly. Check the wir-
ing of the bus system.
Error external RAM 14 Error in the RAM of the ClipX (not in the RAM of the
CPU). Make a note of the error type and contact

nical support at HBM.
Error sensor exci-
tation 15 The excitation voltage for the sensor has been short-
circuited. Check the wiring of the sensor.
Fieldbus I/O 16 Cyclic communication is taking place on the fieldbus
(only BM40IE and BM40PB).
Fieldbus controller
defective 17 Internal error in the fieldbus controller (only on BM40IE
and BM40PB). Make a note of the error type and con-

The bit is switched on and off rhythmically at 0.5Hz,
indicating that the ClipX is working.
