Parameters
interface-type interface-number
: Specifies a physical interface by its type and number.
interface-name
: Specifies a physical interface in the
interface-typeinterface-number
format. No space is
allowed between the
interface-type
and
interface-number
arguments.
Usage guidelines
Bind a minimum of one physical interface to an IRF port for setting up an IRF connection.
•
On S5130-28S-EI, S5130-28S-PWR-EI, S5130-28S-HPWR-EI, S5130-28TP-EI, S5130-28TP-PWR-EI,
and S5130-28F-EI switches, you can bind a maximum of four physical interfaces to an IRF port.
•
On S5130-52S-EI, S5130-52S-PWR-EI, S5130-52TP-EI, and S5130-52TP-PWR-EI switches, you can
bind a maximum of two physical interfaces to an IRF port.
Use the
shutdown
command to shut down all ports in a port group before you bind them to or remove
them from IRF ports. After the binding or binding removal operation is complete, use the
undo shutdown
command to bring up all the physical interfaces. For more information about IRF port binding
requirements, see
IRF Configuration Guide
.
The system does not dynamically remove IRF port bindings when IRF links are lost, for example, because
a member device is removed. To remove IRF port bindings, you must use the
undo port group interface
command.
