F-Flares
Clamp the clamping bar of the tube flare unit into
a machinist’s vice.
With the ”F”-side pointing upwards, insert the
gripping jaw into the unit as far as it will go.
Open the gripping jaw and lay the tube to be
flared into the locating hole. Make sure that 6 mm
of the tube juts out and close the gripping jaw.
9. Application
Precondition for a tight flare is a clean deburring of the inner and outer tube rims. For this purpose,
use the pipe deburring tool 2191-2.
Place the smooth-running thrust block onto the
end of the tube and put the base block with the
opening showing downwards on top of it. Push
the gripping jaw into the unit until the tube with
the fixed base block und thrust block is placed
underneath the pressure spindle.
Please make sure that the locking pin clicks
correctly into the receiving notch of the
gripping jaw.
Tighten the gripping spindle.
Now turn the pressure spindle down. The fixed
base block and thrust block form the ”F”-flare.
E-Flares
• Procede as described in

. For finishing, turn the grip-
ping jaw and insert it into the unit with the ”E”-side pointing
upwards. Insert the tube to be flared again into the gripping
jaw and continue working with the 90°-thrust block.
90°-Flares
• Procede as described in

but with the ”E”-side of the
gripping jaw pointing upwards. Use the 90°-thrust block.
180°-Flares
• First produce a 90°-flare. For finishing, turn the gripping jaw
and insert it into the unit with the ”F”-side pointing upwards.
Insert the tube to be flared again into the gripping jaw and
push it down with the back of the base block.
10. Storage
The tool has be stored according to
the following conditions:
• Keep tool in a dry and dust-free place.
• Do not expose the tool to liquids or aggressive substances.
• Do not store the tool outdoors.
• Keep the tool out of reach of children.
• Storage temperature: -10°C up to +45°C
• Relative air humidity: max. 65%.
11. Maintenance and Cleaning
• Do not let the tool set fall down. Do not expose to impacts
or liquids as they might impair the functional efficiency and
damage the tool set.
