Application range
The hedge trimmer should only be used for trimming hedges,
bushes and shrubs. Other use of the trimmer, not included in
this manual, could damage the trimmer or seriously injure the
operator and is therefore expressively excluded from the
application range.

Extension Cord
–
Make sure your extension cord is in good
condition. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one
heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. An
undersized extension cord will cause a drop in line voltage
resulting in loss of power and overheating. Table A
shows
the
correct
size
to
use
depending
on cord length and nameplate
ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next heavier gage. The
smaller the gage number, the heavier the cord. To reduce the
risk of disconnection of hedge trimmer cord from the
extension
cord
during
operating
:
i) Make a knot as shown in Figure A
,
or
ii) Use one of the plug-receptacle retaining straps or
connectors described inthis manual.

Avoid Unintentional Starting

plugging in.

t Abuse Cord

carry
hedge
trimmer
by
cord
or
yank
it

disconnect from receptacle. Keep cord from heat, oil,
and sharp edges.

Keep

on handles when power is on.

Do not attempt to remove cut material nor hold material to be
cut when blades are moving. Make sure trimmer switch is off
when clearing jammed material from blades.Do not grasp the

should
be stored indoors in dry, and high or locked-up
