MAINTENANCE

General

Hatco Induction Ranges are designed for maximum durability

and performance with minimum maintenance.

ELECTRIC ShOCK hAzARD:

• Turn power OFF, unplug power cord, and allow unit to

cool before performing any maintenance or cleaning.

• DO NOT submerge or saturate with water. Unit is not

waterproof. Do not operate if unit has been submerged

or saturated with water.

• Do not steam clean or use excessive water on the unit.
• This unit is not “jet-proof” construction. Do not use jet-

clean spray to clean this unit.

• Do not clean unit when it is energized or hot.

This  unit  has  no  “user-serviceable”  parts.  If  service  is

required on this unit, contact an Authorized hatco Service

Agent  or  contact  the  hatco  Service  Department  at 

414-671-6350; fax 414-671-3976.

Wipe up all spills and splashes immediately. Make sure unit

is dry before using. Do not allow liquid to run into air inlet

filter on bottom of unit.

Daily Cleaning

To  maintain  performance  and  preserve  the  finish  of  the

Induction Range, clean the unit daily. Make sure to use only

wipes, pads, and cleaners designed specifically for cleaning

ceramic glass surfaces.

1. Turn off the unit and allow to cool.
2. Remove and wash all food pans.
3. Clean  the  glass  surface  using  an  appropriate  cleaning

wipe, damp paper towel, or damp cloth. 

• For tough stains and metal marks, use a drop of ceramic

glass cleaner and paper towel.

• For water and scale marks, use a few drops of white

vinegar and paper towel.

Use non-abrasive cleaners only. Abrasive cleaners could

scratch the finish of the unit, marring its appearance and

making it susceptible to soil accumulation.

4. Clean the metal surfaces using a clean, soft cloth and mild

detergent.

Cleaning the Air Inlet Filter

The air inlet filter on the bottom of the unit should be removed

and cleaned monthly. Use the following procedure to clean the

filter.

1. Turn off and unplug the unit .Allow the unit to cool.
2. Access the air inlet filter.

• For counter top units, turn the unit upside down and lay

the unit on a soft, non-scratching surface.

• For built-in units, access the bottom of the unit.

3. Remove the frame screw on the filter frame.
4. Lift the filter frame and air inlet filter off of the unit.
5. Clean the air inlet filter with soapy water.
6. Allow the air inlet filter to dry completely.
7. Place the air inlet filter inside the filter frame and install onto

the bottom of the unit.

• Insert the tabs on the filter frame into the tab slots on the

bottom of the unit.

8. Insert the frame screw and tighten securely.
9. For countertop units, return the unit to the upright position.
