External power supply socket
Plug the cable from an external power supply into this socket. See “Technical Specifications”
later on in this manual for power supply requirements and specifications.
The ImageBank-II in operation – general
ON/OFF button
Battery powered:
Pressing the button once will turn the unit on. However, to turn the
unit off, hold the button down for 4 seconds until the indicator light turns orange and
then release the button.
Computer / external source powered:
Pressing the ON/OFF button has no effect when
the unit is connected to a computer or powered by an external source. The unit is turned
off by disconnecting the cable.
Status indicator
The status indicator glows in the following colors to indicate status:
BLUE
The
ImageBank-II is on, but the FireWire is not connected.
WHITE
The ImageBank-II is receiving power through the FireWire but there is no
data connection to the camera/digital back/computer.
GREEN
Connected to camera/digital back/computer. Ready to transfer data.
RED
The ImageBank-II is busy.
ORANGE
The ImageBank-II is ready to turn off/disconnect/have battery removed.
FLASHING LIGHT BLUE
Battery low. Turn off the ImageBank-II and replace the battery.
LIGHT RED
The ImageBank-II is being programmed.
FireWire connection
Most desktop computers (see ‘Computer compatibility and specifications’ at the begin-
ning of this manual for deatails) are able to supply the ImageBank-II with power through
a FireWire connection when transferring files. If this is not the case, the ImageBank-II
has to be connected to an external power supply or equipped with a battery.
