Section 3 Operation
ATLAS Series™
•
Amp Correction Table and Filter Compensation Table - this provides a
way for the transmitter control system to call up different correction and
compensation tables stored in the exciters. Once set, this would only
need to be changed if the transmitter frequency is changed or for an N+1
system where one transmitter is backing up 2 or more transmitters at
different frequencies. The exciters can store up to 15 tables. For more
information on these tables refer to the V-XCAST exciter manual.
NOTE:
Setup of the Amp Correction and Filter Compensation tables
must be done using the ITIS V-XCAST software running on
an external PC and connected directly to the exciters via a
serial connection.
•
ASI Input - Can be used to select program inputs, ASI 1 (or optional ASI
2) or PRBS (Pseudo Random Bit Streams). Note that each exciter input
can be configured separately. See V-XCAST exciter manual for more
information.
Figure 3-9 Editing the Exciter Setup Screen
NOTE:
The exciter status on the right side of the screen for each exciter is active sta-
tus being read from the exciters. If the exciter has been configured using an
external computer (via serial port and the V-XCAST software) the readings
for both exciters may not be the same or match the data in the text boxes.
However, a change to any parameter will affect both exciters.
