Cleaning Igniter Bracket-
C
heck cleanliness of the igniter and inner burnpot. If the
igniter has ash buildup it must be removed to insure proper
ignition. Use the provided brush to remove ash buildup from
in and around the igniter. Once ash is loose vacuum around
igniter and at the base of burn pot. Figure 2.5.
Note: The hot lead/cold lead connection must always
be pulled to the rear of the feeder body before
operation.
Use caution when cleaning burn pot clean-out
chamber. Do not damage the high temperature igniter
wires.

Yearly Maintenance:
Cleaning the Combustion Fan
Chamber-
It is recommended that you use a vacuum that is designed
for ash, as ashes may block conventional vacuum filters.
1. Remove the left and right corner cleanout covers by
removing the wing-screws (one per). Figure 2.6.
2. Brush or vacuum the remaining ash from the firebox.
3. Guide the vacuum hose upward into the exhaust passage
in the right rear corner of the firebox. Figure 2.7.

4. You can now re-install the right and left cleanout covers
into the firebox and close the door.
5. Release the right and left side spring latches and slide
the insert body out onto the hearth or onto the service rail
kit, if purchased. Figure 2.8.

6. Remove the exhaust chamber access cover on the right
rear of the insert. Figure 2.9.
7. With this cover removed, you can vacuum the paddle fan
and the inside of the chamber. Be careful not to bend the
blades on the paddle fan.
