MAC Viper Series - Replacing the air filter housing in the head, revision A, 05-16-2017

Before you begin

The purpose of this tech note is to describe how to 

replace the old version of an air filter housing in the 

head with a new air filter housing that is easier to 

access.

Make sure that the following is available before you 

begin: 2 x P/N 50300524, filter housing with lid (1).

Tools

• 

Torx 20 screwdriver

• 

Torx 25 screwdriver

• 

PZ 2 screwdriver

• 

ESD mat and wristband.

1.  Loosen the two Torx 25 screws (1) on each side.

2. 

Remove the two head covers.

Take the necessary precautions 

to prevent static electricity from 

damaging the product during 

modification or repair.
