Subject: Backup Memory on AVR series receivers
In the event of a complaint of “the receiver is losing its memory (any programmed system settings)
when the unit is turned off, or after the unit is unplugged (briefly*)”:
Check and replace:
C216 (all models above except AVR7000)
C730 (AVR7000 only)
Location: On the front PCB, 0.047 Farad 5.5v capacitor, h/k part# 55134360.
* After approximately two weeks of being disconnected from AC supply, even a normally functioning receiver will lose
any programmed settings and switch to default settings.
