b, Operation using the Windows Media Player
The DAL 150 works in tandem with the Windows Media Player to control your
playback source. Once you have selected the Output Mode, open the Windows
Media Player through one of the following methods:
•
Right click on the hk icon in the Systray and then click on
Open WMP
•
When the DAL 150 menu is on the screen, click on the Open WMP button
•
If your desktop has previously installed an icon that launches the Player,
click on that icon or shortcut
Once the Windows Media Player is open, simply select the music source as you
normally would. Any MP 3 file that you play fed from the USB port on the
computer to the DAL 150 and then passed through in either PCM or MP3 form.
No further adjustment is needed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When the DAL 150 is being used, remember to mute any
built-in or external speakers normally used for computer audio playback. When
the DAL 150 is in use, the volume control in the Windows Media Player will not
operate, and volume should be controlled on your AV receiver or surround
processor.
7, Software Updates
From time to time, Harman Kardon may update the software used to operate the
DAL 150 to provide new features. Before checking for an upgrade, first check to
see the version of the currently installed drivers by clicking on

available driver is newer than the one you are using, follow the instructions
shown to download it to your computer and then re-install the driver following the
