1.  Make sure gas is shut off. 
2.  Connect brass reducing union (8) to your gas supply. 
3.  Connect the flex connector (7) from your brass reducing union (8) to the nipple on the  
     back side of your valve. 
4.  Finally, make sure that all of your connections are tight before lighting.
