Erratic Actual (Act.) Readings
1.
Time base or Averages
setting is incorrect
either too high or too
low.
2.
Tuning and Control
parameters are not cor-
rect.
3.
Counts/Grad (counts
per displayed gradua-
tion) set too low.
4.
Improper or incorrect
Rate Calibration
1. Change the Time base
or Averages until the
readings are correct
and stable. (See
Chapter 5 for instruc-
tions)
2. Change the Tuning
and Control parame-
ters until the readings
are accurate and sta-
ble. (See Chapter 5 for
instructions)
3. The larger the Counts/
Grad the stabler the
display. Change the
load cell to a capacity
closer to the weight of
a fully loaded feeder or
use a counter balance
scale to increase the
live load counts.
4. Re-Accept Rate CAL
parameters or Rerun
the Rate Calibration.
Rate Exception Control
(REC) Alarm Appears too

Rate Calibration Error.
2.
REC level too small or
too large.
3.
Averages or Time Base
settings too long or too
short.
4.
Mechanical Problems
with the scale which is
disturbing the weight
reading. (e.g. binding
on the system)
5.
Poor Rate Calibration.
1. Run or check the Rate
Calibration.
2. Adjust the REC level.
3. Adjust the Averages or
Time Base settings
until the problem
stops.
4. Physically check the
system for mechanical
disturbances that
might disturb the
weight readings.
5.
Re-do the Rate Cali-
bration. (See Chapter
5 for instructions)
