Measuring the Inside of an Object
1.
Set the prongs on the Caliper inside of the object being measured. Make
certain the Caliper readout is calibrated to “zero” while the prongs are closed.
Spread the prongs apart until they are touching the surface of the object
being measured. The LCD readout will show the measurement in either inches
or mm.
Replacing the Battery
1.
Remove the battery cover by gently sliding it off.
2.
Replace the battery with the type specified on page two. Insert it into the
compartment so the positive and negative polarity match those indicated.
3.
Replace the battery cover. Dispose of the old battery in accordance with
local ordinances for proper disposal.
Maintenance
1.
Protect the Digital Caliper from rough use. It is susceptible to damage
from being dropped, struck with a test piece, improperly mounted or other
abuse. The precision movement is similar to a watch works, and should
be treated accordingly.
2.
Protect the Caliper from exposure to water or corrosive materials. It
should be kept clean and dry. Occasional cleaning with a clean rag will
extend its life and good appearance.
3.
Lock the Caliper and store in a dry location to inhibit rust. Keep out of the
reach of children.
