Caution! The Blade (22) is extremely sharp. Do not attempt to use the Food
Slicer if there are any distractions present. Fully concentrate on the task of
slicing food. Inattention to your work can cause serious, life-threatening
injuries.
1.
Plug in the unit. Test it to make sure the Blade (22) looks aligned. Work it at
different speeds and try the Pulse switch to get the feel of how it works (See
number 2 below). When you are confident with its performance, begin operation.
2.
The upper left Slider on the control panel controls the speed of the blade. Sliding
it up will increase speed, and sliding it down will decrease speed. The control
switch has three positions On - when the switch is in the upper position. Off -
when the switch is in the middle position. Pulse (only on when held on) when the
switch is in the bottom position. See FIGURE 3.
3.
Always keep hands and fingers clear of the Blade (22). Place the food on the
Food Tray (6) positioned between the Food Pusher (7) and the Blade (22).
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Never use the Food Slicer without the Food Pusher (7)!!!
3.
Turn on the unit and slowly move the Food Pusher (7) toward the Blade (22) to
cut a slice. Bring the Food Pusher (6) back to its original position. Then, bring it
forward again. Repeat the process to cut more slices. Pay particular attention to
your grip, making sure that if your hand slipped, your hand is not moving in a
direction towards the Blade (22). Do not force the Slicer by pressing the food
against the Blade (22). Let the Food Slicer do the work for you.
4.
Turn off and unplug the Food Slicer. Remember!! The Blade (22) will continue
to rotate for a short period of time after the power is off. For safety, when the
Food Slicer is not in use, reposition the Thickness Adjustment Knob (1) so that
the sharp edge of the Blade (22) is covered.
Warning! The Cover Release Button on the Control Panel must never be pushed
during operation!
REMEMBER:
Do not use the slicer to
slice through bones, fro-
zen foods, hard foods or
any non-food items.
Make sure any meat to be
sliced is totally free from
bones or tying wire and is
totally thawed.
