Adjusting the water hardness
level
Hard water will cause calcification within
the dishwasher. Also, more dishwasher de-
tergent will be required to clean the dishes.
Soft water increases foaming. For this rea-
son, the degree of hardness of the water
has to be determined and adjusted even
before the first use. You can determine the
water hardness from your water bill or en-
quire about the degree of hardness at the
water supply company. The appliance is
set to a hardness level of “
H3
“ in the factory.

Do not allow more than 1 minute to elapse
between the following actions, otherwise the
adjustment process will be interrupted.
1. Close the dishwasher door.
2. Switch it on with the On/Off button (1).
The display (8) is initially fully lit up. After
a short time, the programme symbol (10)
for the ECO programme comes on.
3. Hold the start/pause button
(6) in until
the displays
(13) and
(14) blink alter-
nately.
The display (8) shows the current hard-
ness level (
H1
to
H6
),
4. Press the start/pause button
(6) as
many times as necessary to display the
required hardness level.
5. Around 5 seconds after you push it for the
last time, the dishwasher will automatical-
ly revert to the normal display.
The hardness level setting is saved.
Test run
It is recommended that you carry out a test
run before the first dishwasher cycle in order
to remove residues from the manufacturing
process and in order to ensure that the de-
vice functions perfectly. Carry out this test run
when the dishwasher is empty and without
any dishwasher detergent.
1. Open the valve completely.
2. Close the dishwasher door.
3. Switch the dishwasher on using the but-
ton (1).
All the lights initially come on on the
display (8). After a short time, the pro-
gramme symbol (10) for the ECO pro-
gramme comes on.
4. Start the programme with the button
(6).
The programme begins after a few sec-
onds.
5. Check for water leaks and unusual nois-
es.
6. When the programme ends, an acoustic
signal sounds 8 times.
Switch the dishwasher off using the but-
ton (1).
7. Slightly open the door to allow the moist
air to escape.
8. Close the valve.
