The basics
Additional functions can be used to change
a cycle’s standard values and adjust them
to your laundry in order to achieve the best
possible washing result or maximum effec-
tiveness.
The setting options available to you are based
on the selected cycle from (see “Table: Addi-
tional functions” on page EN-18).
Reducing the washing water
temperature

After selecting the desired cycle, the highest
temperature for this cycle is set.
• To decrease the washing water tem-
perature, repeatedly press the “Temp”
button (8) until the desired temperature
is shown on the display panel (9) (“--”
stands for “cold water”).
Because the washing water temperature
affects the cycle time, the display panel (9)
shows the new cycle time shortly after.
You can now select further additional
functions or start the cycle.

After selecting the desired cycle, the maxi-
mum spin speed for this cycle is set.
• To decrease the spin speed, repeatedly
press the “Spin” button (7) until the de-
sired spin speed is shown on the display
panel (9) (“--” stands for “drain without
spinning”).
Because the spin speed affects the cycle
time, the display panel (9) shows the new
cycle time shortly afterwards.
Please note: The spin speed affects the noise
emissions of the appliance and the residual
dampness of the laundry. The higher the spin
speed, the higher the noise emissions and
the lower the residual dampness.
You can now select further additional
functions or start the cycle.

The cycle usually starts as soon as you have
pressed the button (3). This appliance also
offers you the option to delay the start time.
