Setting the temperature in the
freezer
The freezer temperature can be set between
–16 °C and –22 °C.
• Press the
°C
button (17) repeatedly until
the desired temperature is shown.
-16 -18 -22
The indicator changes each time the button
is pressed. After “ ”, “–16” lights up again.
The lowest possible setting is –22 °C, and
the highest possible setting is –16 °C.
The ideal temperature for the freezer is
–18 °C.
Setting the operating modes
The appliance has two additional operating
modes: Quick freezing and the holiday mode.
Quick freezing
The “Quick freezing” operating mode rapidly
cools the freezer to –22 °C.
Activating quick freezing
• Press the
°C
button (17) repeatedly until
the indicator (19) lights up.
Deactivating quick freezing
“Quick freezing” is automatically deactivated
after 52 hours. To manually deactivate “Quick
freezing”,
• Press the

button (17) repeatedly until
the indicator for the desired temperature
lights up.
Holiday mode
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can
cause stored food to spoil.
This could lead to a risk of food poison-
ing when consumed.

Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■
Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other cooling appliance.
If you won’t be using the appliance for a pro-
longed period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you
can activate “Holiday mode”. This will save
energy.
The fridge will switch off when “Holiday mode”
is active. The temperature in the freezer is
kept at –18 °C.

• Press the

the indicator (20) lights up.
Deactivating “Holiday mode”
• Press the

button (22) repeatedly until
the indicator for the desired temperature
lights up.
