Attaching the door handles
Before you start to use the appliance, attach
the door handles (6) and (7).

1. Lift out the blind plugs (30) from the side
of the appliance doors (2) and (8).

2. Use the included screws (31) to attach
the longer door handle (6) to the fridge
door (2), and the shorter door handle (7)
to the freezer door (8).
Electrical connections
WARNING

Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.

Do not operate or continue to oper-
ate the appliance, if it
–
shows visible signs of damage, e.g.
the mains cable is defective,
–
starts smoking or there is a smell of
burning,
–
makes unfamiliar noises.
In such cases, remove the mains plug
from the socket or unscrew/isolate
the fuse and contact our service de-
partment (see page EN-32).

When positioning the appliance, en-
sure the supply cord is not trapped
or damaged. Do not kink the supply
cord or lay it over sharp edges. This
can result in a break in the cable.

Do not locate multiple portable sock-
et-outlets or portable power supplies
at the rear of the appliance.
■
Since all poles of the appliance can-
not be disconnected from the mains
via an accessible disconnecting de-
vice, an all-pole disconnecting device
in accordance with overvoltage cate-
gory III must be connected within the
house installation with at least 3 mm
contact clearance; consult a qualified
professional if necessary (see “Ser-
vice” on page EN-32).
