Requirements for safe use
– You have read chapter „Safety“ from page
EN-5 and understand all the safety notices.
– The appliance is set up and plugged in as
described in chapter „Set-up“ on page EN-22.
Switching the appliance on
and off
Switching on
The appliance is switched on as soon as the
mains plug is plugged in. The compressor
starts to work, the refrigerant flows through
the pipes and a quiet humming sound can
be heard. The symbols on the control panel
appear for 3 seconds.
Switching off
• To switch the appliance off, pull out the
mains plug.
Operating the control panel
WARNING
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. This
can then lead to an increase in temper-
ature in the fridge and freezer compart-
ment.

ambient temperature (see “climate
classes” in the data sheet at the end
of this user manual).

Standard setting
When the appliance is turned on for the fi rst
time, the default set temperature for the
fridge compartment and the freezer com-
partment is 5 °C and -18 °C respectively.
If you do not touch the control panel or if
the door is not opened within 30 seconds,
the control panel is locked and the display
goes off .
